Job Description: Our client in New Hanover County, NC is seeking to hire a full time Interface Conversion Architect. Work hours will be dedicated to the Database Management Department. Level II Cloverleaf certification is required. Epic Bridges Certification required. Relocation available. JOB SUMMARY: The Interface and Conversion Architect provides technical leadership and consulting and is responsible for planning, designing and managing the integration architecture for the organization. This person is also responsible for developing, implementing and supporting the Medical Center’s interfaces across multiple technical architectures while providing standards, procedures, documentation, and monitoring. The Interface and Conversion Architect is a team leader for the Data Management teams who are responsible for the assessment, design, implementation and support of data management technologies to include interface engines, Epic Bridges Interface, Epic Data Courier, Epic Clarity, Cache databases, Oracle and SQL databases. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: 1. Provides technical leadership and consulting and is responsible for planning, designing and managing the integration architecture for the organization 2. Provides mentoring and training to technical staff for new procedures and/or applications 3. Plan, execute, and manage the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise. 4. Ensure Data Management and integration projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and provide resolution of integration problems, issues and recovery. 5. Ensure integration planning and practices are aligned with strategic business goals and the company’s overall strategic vision. 6. Technical lead responsible for coordinating exchange of data to external systems and facilities, as well as the Health Information Exchange. 7. Recommends, designs, develops, and implements “best practice” integration standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines for enterprise applications ensuring optimum efficiency and stability. 8. Provides support for escalated Interface technical issues beyond the scope of first tier integration support. 9. Provides architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to Interface Analyst, Database Administrators, Application Analyst and other IS Architects 10.Assess risk factors and limitations of current systems, and identify areas of opportunity for mitigating these risks and limitations, and improving overall system efficiency and performance. 11. Demonstrates standard of performance (ownership, teamwork communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence 12. Participates on the Production Quality Committee as needed 13. Assist in the review of all Change Control Request submitted by the Data Management team 14. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: ESSENTIAL JOB SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Education: BS in Computer Science; or an Associate’s Degree and at least seven years of information systems experience. 2. Licensure / Certifications: Required Level II Cloverleaf certification, Epic Bridges certification required. 3. Experience Required: Minimum three years of extension experience working with enterprise interface engines utilizing HL7 standards. Knowledge of Tcl, Java, Xml, and Cache, Oracle, and SQL databases preferred.
