Job Description: Our client in New Hanover County, NC is seeking to hire full time Clinical Application Analysts. Epic Ambulatory Certification required. Relocation available. Clinical Application Analysts have primary responsibility for design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of clinical applications. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the software functionality, and acquiring knowledge of the clinical department representatives. Design a future-state workflow and build the system to support the new workflow. Works with others in workgroups and across interdisciplinary workgroups to accomplish these goals as a team. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: 1. Designs, documents and implements future-state clinical workflows consistent with clinical best practices and system functionality in collaboration with other team members, clinical department representatives, and under the general direction of the Project Manager. Analyzes current state workflows / needs and translating these into system design. Designs, builds and validates the application to conform to desired clinical workflows within assigned area. 2. Collaborates with Principal Trainers in the design and development of role-based training programs to support the workflows to be implemented. 3. Populates master tables and system files in accordance with established guidelines following standards for naming and numbering conventions and security classifications. 4. Follows established guidelines for system change control. Implements approved changes based on customer-designated priorities. Maintains system documentation to enable ongoing support of the system. Identifies revisions needed to existing Policies & Procedures, and initiates revision process with appropriate organizational departments. 5. Supports end-users onsite during go-live events. Troubleshoots problems identified by team members and end-users. Identifies, documents, tracks and resolves issues pertaining to workflows. 6. Reviews and tests new builds and releases prior to implementing in the production environment. Tests in a structured manner and documents testing results. 7. Identifies potential system enhancement needs. 8. Cross-coordinates the design of future-state workflows with other interdisciplinary teams, both clinical and revenue cycle. 9. Understands LEAN methodology in advance of implementation and certification. 10. Identifies clinical content functional requirements and timeliness to the appropriate Clinical Content Sub-Committee (Ambulatory, Emergency Dept, Inpatient, or CPM teams.) 11. Collaborates with Nursing Informatics to present Epic system or third party vendor clinical content for clinical review by subject matter experts. 12. Serves as a staff resource to the Clinical Content Sub-Committees; may participate in clinical content review meetings, takes minutes, perform demonstrations, and support the committees as necessary. 13. Collaborates with Nursing Informatics in matters pertaining to third party content and enterprise-wide distribution of clinical content. 14. Coordinates implementation (upload) of clinical content components with technical resources, using the established change control guidelines for this process. Cross-coordinates updates of clinical contents with peers on Training Team to ensure their understanding of revised content. 15. Communicates project status with team, department representatives and leaders (including Senior Leadership). Provides formal status report on a periodic basis to supervisor as requested.

Job Requirements: ESSENTIAL JOB SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school, either through an AD or Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (such as nursing or radiology technology) 2. Licensure / Certifications: Current license or certification to practice profession in the state of North Carolina. EPIC certification in assigned application module(s)required. 3. Experience: 3-5 years of IT healthcare support experience preferred. Technical knowledge and/or experience supporting an Electronic Health Record system desired.
