Job Description: Our client in Montgomery County, PA is seeking to hire a full time Reporting and Clinical Decision Support Manager. Relocation available. Hiring manager is looking for good management background (project and people). Excellent communicator, comfortable running larger scale meetings, working with strong personalities Report writing and rules creating experience is required (Cerner) Understands the clinical workflow, how queries are written, how it''s formatted etc. Travel 5-25% depending on projects The Reporting and Clinical Decision Support Information Services Manager is responsible for managing the development and support for client Cerner application reports and decision support rules. Manages all aspects of projects assigned from preparing project schedules and estimates through final implementation. Oversees modifications to existing reports and rules that will effectively accomplish desired objectives. Provides technical support and project direction to client entities as needed. Coordinates work assignments given in order to meet deadlines and ensure continued progress toward assignment completion. Shares experience and expertise with other members of team. Operational responsibility for supervision, performance evaluations and direction of analyst team. System Implementation . Regularly meets with users, vendors, and IS staff to develop/modify Cerner report and rules specifications. . Design reports and rules for Cerner applications and prepare the appropriate documentation. . Supervise system testing and documentation for all phases of the application development life cycle. . Perform Q/A on report and rules functionality. . Research and resolve Customer Support Center Tickets. . Adhere to appropriate UHS Project Management standards and ensures strict adherence to work plans, reporting all serious deviations to management. . Adhere to client Service Level and Change Management Policies. Oversee the training of facility staff to run reports. Report Tool Maintenance/Support/End User Education . Research and resolves Customer Support Center Tickets. . Create curriculum and provide training for end users. . Oversee creation of web based training. Establish and maintains regular communications with user community. Administration and Oversight . Effectively trains analysts in performance of their duties as required. . Provides technical support and guidance to other team members as required. . Maintain Service Excellence principles at all times. . Prepares and promptly submits all routine and special reports. . Interviews applicants for vacant positions as needed using appropriate interview techniques and contributes to performance evaluation of subordinate staff members as needed. . Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, problems as they arise. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements: Requirements: Knowledge: Minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Technology. Five or more years of progressively more responsible Cerner report writing (CCL) and rules development experience. Excellent customer service skills and desire to work directly with facility end users to support reports and rules development and education. Supervision, direction and performance management of direct reports. Skills: Working knowledge of system application implementation, enhancement and support methods and practices. Comprehensive working knowledge of computer systems analysis and programming techniques and procedures, including: consulting with users to determine software or system functional specifications design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, education, testing, coding, debugging, or modification of computer systems or programs based on and related to user design specifications. Working knowledge of IS standards and quality methods and metrics. Working knowledge of project management methodology. Familiarity of user business practices, concepts and terminology sufficient to support the rule and report writing tasks. Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency. Educational Requirement: BA degree is required. Other: Report Writing and Rules Creation experience required Travel Requirements: 5 - 25% domestic US travel (depending on projects).
