Job Description: Relocation available. Basic Purpose: The person(s) in this position provides project coordination and participation, computer system support, and, customer support for information technology projects. The analyst is capable of working on projects bringing them to successful completion in a reasonable time frame. The analyst is also capable of supporting systems and customer groups on an ongoing basis. II. Major Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Complies with established corporate and departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance methods, and safety codes. Demonstrates compliance with licensing, regulatory and accrediting agency provisions as required. 2. Consistently demonstrates appropriate and professional communication behavior toward patients, customers, and coworkers. Cooperates with Management and peers to promote an environment of teamwork and collaboration. 3. Successfully completes projects in a reasonable timeframe. Demonstrates ability to utilize good planning, project coordination methods, inter-personal communications and organizational skills on assigned projects. 4. Knowledgeable and capable of addressing the technology requirements of assigned projects and systems. 5. Utilizes basic knowledge and experience of healthcare or business operations to effectively analyze customer needs and problems, and, identify and provide solutions. 6. Builds and maintains good working relationships with customers, vendors, co-workers and supervisors and utilizes these relationships to resolve issues and problems, explore opportunities and build consensus. 7. Maintains STARS behavior. 8. Able to be supportive, yet appropriately assertive, as necessary to obtain user/vendor/co-worker cooperation to meet the assigned objectives. 9. Develops recommendations, options, analyses, reports and other documentation accurately. 10. Ability to adapt to the technical level of the audience. 11. Demonstrates a desire and willingness to take personal responsibility/ownership of assigned projects, systems and groups of customers to ensure the greatest benefit and fewest problems for the customer and health system. 12. Shows initiative and creativity to assigned tasks and projects, as well as, forwards new ideas to utilize technology or process change to improve efficiency, increase customer and Associate satisfaction, lower costs, increase revenue, increase physician convenience, or improve quality. 13. Communicates well orally and in writing and shares information freely. 14. Documents work and eagerly cross-trains others, but is also receptive to cross-training on additional systems. 15. Maintains department records, reports and files as needed. 16. Attends meetings as required. 17. Maintains awareness and expands knowledge of technical issues and solutions and healthcare made available through trade publications, white papers and product announcements. 18. Develops, writes and tests software programs/utilities. 19. Provides front-line or backup help desk coverage as needed. 20. Provides periodic updates of projects and outstanding issues to the Lead Analyst, Supervisor, Manager and/or Director, Information Technology and Services. 21. Notifies appropriate Lead, Supervisor, Manager and/or Director regarding any unusual or unexpected events or problems that could adversely affect the services being provided to our clients. 22. Assists or lead process and workflow improvements to help end-user departments take advantage of technology. 23. Required to travel locally, in-state or out of state. 24. Required to support users or systems during nights, weekends and holidays either on-site or from home during system implementations, upgrades or problems. 25. Performs all other duties as assigned or requested.
Job Requirements: III. Minimum Requirements (experience, training, and education): Associate level education in computer science or a related field is required and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. A minimum of one to three years information systems experience in an application support, technical support or customer support environment. Valid Florida Drivers License and be willing to use personal vehicle for minimal travel. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with diverse constituencies are essential. Ability to work under time sensitive pressures and with multiple assignments concurrently. Candidates should have experience in 4 or more of the following: Major clinical, financial or operational systems used in healthcare, MS Office Applications, Server Management and Design (i.e. file, printer, appl., web, etc.), Windows XP, Visual Basic or other development tool, SQL Databases, Web Based Technologies, Computer or network installation and repair, Project management software, Meditech Clinical or Financial Application Support, Meditech NPR Report Writer or Other Reporting Tools, and/or Data Repository or Other Decision Support Systems. IV. Physical Requirements: Position is mostly sedentary and requires the ability to sit for prolonged periods. Lifting and carrying weights of up to 10 pounds from low to high levels is occasionally required and is an essential function of the position. Grasping and reaching are frequently required handling demands. Occasional walking, bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, and standing are also required. Independent decision-making is required. Mental concentration and working with precise limits of accuracy are important. Physically repetitive work comprises 90% of this job. V. OSHA Exposure Category: 3 - Tasks do not involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue as a condition of employment. Incumbent is not called upon as part of his/her position to perform or assist in emergency medical care or first aid, or to be potentially exposed in some way.
